3.Carbon filter - our unique patented multi-step carbon filtering (different from other maufacturers carbon filters) removes organics and oxidants from water.

   
4. Pressure gauges - show the inlet and outlet pressure of the filter cartridges.  Change the filters when there is a 10 psi increase in the difference between these two guages. 

     
5. Ozone injection - ozone gas is drawn into the tank recirculation stream.  Ozone is a very strong oxidant and provides a residual disinfectant that keeps water in the tank free of any biological growth.  The injection of ozone gas into the water also creates oxygenated water which delivers higher levels of oxygen to the molecules throughout the body.

6. UV Light - is used to purify the air as the unit draws in filtered outside air for both condensation of water and for air-conditioning.  The UV light is used again at the water POU (point of use) to kill and scramble the DNA of viruses, bacteria, and germs to render them harmless.

The Benefits of Using Ozonation for Water Purification

The use of Ozone creates a higher disinfectant capability of bacteria, protozoans, and viruses and has greater germicidal properties compared to that of chlorination.  Furthermore, the oxidizing features can also decrease the concentration of sulfur, iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide in the water.  The remaining insoluble solids are then removed by post- filtration methods.  Organic particles and chemicals are eliminated.  The water is left germ, virus, odor, and chemical free.

Ultraviolet Technology

 

Ultraviolet treatment, in most cases is the most important step in any purification process. The technology first exposes water to two rounds of intense dosages of UV light, which acts as a highly effective germicidal sterilizer and destroys viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa.

How?

• UV light destroys a microorganism by scrambling its DNA structure

• The cells are rendered sterile and cannot reproduce

• The cells are dead and no longer a threat

Ultraviolet (UV) Purification

Treating water with UV technology is preferred over the conventional method of using chemicals like chlorine. During the purification process, UV disinfection actually occurs three times to ensure the purity and freshness of water free from nitrate and chloride, this makes aquovated water ideal for children and babies.

Ultraviolet (UV) Wavelengths

Ultraviolet light happens all around us naturally in sunlight. The light is divided by wavelengths into three bands: A, B and C. Out of these three wavelengths, UV C is the shortest and therefore the most powerful light. Short wave ultraviolet light in the region of 253.7 nanometers is lethal to microorganisms including bacteria, protozoa, viruses, molds, yeasts, nematode eggs and algae.

Wavelengths in the range of 260 to 265 nanometers are most effective in killing microbes. By damaging their DNA, UV light prevents bacteria and viruses from duplicating. A cell that cannot reproduce is considered dead, as it is unable to multiply to infectious numbers within a host.
