How Water From Air Works?

Atmospheric Water Generator technology depends primarily on two things for water production. The relative humidity combined with the ambient air temperature are the two most important factors in determining how much water from air will be processed daily (24 hrs). The system generates water
from air by using fans to blow pre-filtered air over coils. This lowers the air temperature to its dew point, and condensing of the of water occurs for collection of condensated water in a stainless steel food grade internal collection tank . Advanced water filtration systems, and water purification methods using a combination of UV light, ozonation, and multi-step carbon filtration makes the water extremely clean, purified and fit for human and animal consumption. The rate at which the A.W.G. system will produce water is solely based on relative humidity and the ambient (surrounding) air temperature.
Most A.W.G. systems require a relative humidity of around 60% to 70 % for the unit to achieve optimal performance, and meet its rated output capacity. In environments where the humidity (RH) is lower than 60% to 70%, the system will still harvest water from the air, but not as quickly, and not at a level consistent with the systems designed rated output. However, systems that are located in environments where the humidity level is higher can experience slightly higher levels of production than the rated capacity. Systems that are combined with air conditioning can also produce slightly higher levels of water production while acting as air purification, de-humidification, air filtration, and air conditioning systems.
1. Ambient air is pulled through a patented antibacterial filter to remove airborne particles and contaminants. With less moisture in the air, your air-conditioning electrical consumption is lowered as less energy is used to cool the environment. 2-4. Vapor in the air is condensed in a collection tray and disinfected with UV light. The resulting water then passes through the proprietary FC to remove organics, odors and dissolved impurities. Most of the fine water born contaminants including bacteria, viruses, parasites and other disease-causing agents are removed when the water is sent through Ultrafiltration membranes. The system also contains granulated activated carbons to remove total organic carbons, foul tastes, odors and color. UV disinfection occurs for a second time. 5. Ambient air temperature plays a key factor in water production as well. On average a system will require a temperature of 65 degrees Farenheit (18.33 degrees Celsius) or greater to achieve its rated output. In lower temperature environments the system will still produce water, but not at the rated production output that is achieved at higher temperatures.
Atmospheric water generators like all other technologies is evolving and working diligently through research and development to improve upon the technology to achieve greater efficiency in water production, energy usage, water purification, and filtration. Water is quickly becoming a more scarce and highly sought after resource in many areas of the world today. There is no doubt as mankinds need for fresh water increases, because of human misuse, over use, and abuse of exisiting water supplies, that governments, and corporations will begin to attempt take control through regulation of water supplies. The atmospheric water generator will come into its own as this time quickly approaches. It is destined to become a houshold item. As efficiency and effectiveness of the systems continues to improve large scale water production will eventually take place in order to accomodate the masses and the increasing demand for fresh water.
How Water is Collected!
Pre-filtered outside air is fed into the system. A condensation unit receives humid airflow and condenses water vapor into liquid. This process is known as atmospheric condensation. The harvested water is then collected into a food grade internal stainless stell storage tank. The water is then filtered and treated by bacteria-killing devices such as ultraviolet light, and ozone before it is dispensed. Volatile organic compound pollutants are removed by two NSF 53 approved filters. VOCs, such as Ether, have proven extremely difficult to remove by filtration methods of the past but will not be present in the water generated by our water generation machine.

The end result is water that is 99.9% pure and has removed all inorganic matter as small as .o1 microns. The water is for all intents and purposes distilled. There seems to be a tremendous misnomer regarding prolonged consumption of water that doesn'thave minerals in the water. Howerever, pure water has never had minerals in it from the moment the molecules formed to create H2O. Fresh water supplies worldwide are being depleted, over used, misused, polluted, or due to climatic changes and global warming becoming non-existent. And while the A.W.G. does have some limitations the fact is that it offers a very viable solution for the now, and the future. Their ability to harvest water from the air and make available fresh drinking water daily come rain or shine is a benefit that cannot be ignored. And while there are many good filtration systems available to filter and purify water; you need to have water available to filter and purify. You can have the most advanced water filtration system in the world but if your water supply runs out it is rendered useless.
